Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Jan. 18 that his visit to Belgrade was dedicated to peace, energy security, and cooperation, the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) reports.
"A Saturday in Belgrade, dedicated to peace, energy security, economic, transportation, and defense cooperation," Szijjarto wrote on Facebook, sharing a photo with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali.
President Vucic said earlier that he had met with the two Hungarian officials to discuss "current geopolitical and regional issues, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation to address new challenges." "It is always an honor and pleasure to host our Hungarian friends Viktor Orban and Peter Szijjarto in Belgrade. Together with Sinisa Mali, we discussed current geopolitical and regional issues, as well as strengthening cooperation between our two countries to find solutions to emerging challenges," Vucic wrote on Instagram.
"We continue to work and build on the foundation of our unprecedentedly strong ties, which serve as an example of how stability and prosperity can be achieved through genuine friendship and a strategic partnership. Welcome, dear Viktor and Peter. Serbia is your home too," Vucic added.
