On March 19, Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic announced he has signed official documents inviting the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) to come to Serbia and investigate the alleged use of a sonic weapon during the March 15 Belgrade rally, organized by the country’s protesting university students.
The prime minister explained he had signed the official requests on March 18, following a discussion with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
“In the late afternoon, following a talk with the president, I signed the official documents, a request for the FBI and FSB to come and conduct independent investigations into whether or not a sonic weapon was employed,” Vucevic told Pink TV.
He added that covering letters for both invitations have also been prepared for the leadership of each country, and underlined that Serbia has chosen to invite the two most famous and reputable global security services.
“We are not shying away from someone else doing it. The matter cannot remain uninvestigated,” Vucevic said.
