Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric has described Serbia’s cooperation with the Council of Europe (CoE) as significant and said he expected Malta’s presidency of this organization to be a strong incentive for continuing cooperation in advancing the reform processes in Serbia and realizing joint projects which would directly benefit the citizens.
He met on June 19 on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting in Taormina with the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Malta, Ian Borg. He thanked Malta for supporting Belgrade in the process of European integration and for consistently advocating the policy of EU enlargement.
He pointed out that Serbia’s European path was a strategic priority and that the messages from the June 19 meeting of European countries were encouraging for both Serbia and the Western Balkans, stated the Foreign Ministry of Serbia.
