Numerous reactions to a large-scale police crackdown on organized crime along with a government PR campaign to hail this as a major success have dwarfed all other events of the past seven days.
The campaign climaxed on March 7, when the National Security Council finally met, after postponing the controversial session twice. The stellar moment of it was a press conference by President Aleksandar Vucic, escorted only by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and the interior minister, Aleksandar Vulin.
