A Return to Dark Times

This week’s disclosure that the Serbian authorities have made lists of personae non gratae, including both the citizens of other countries and Serbia, for publicly voicing their views, must have perturbed everyone who endorses democracy and human rights. News of the lists broke out after several weeks of an aggressive campaign by the authorities against the independent media, Western-funded NGOs and green activists.
