Rehabilitation or Something More?

Tensions on Mt. Starica, in eastern Serbia, between activists and representatives of Chinese company Zijin Copper Serbia, the majority owner of nearby Majdanpek Copper Mine, have escalated over the past month. The activists, who have been protesting on the mountain for several months now, fear that Starica will be demolished, while representatives of Zijin, which enjoys the support of the Serbian authorities, claim that they are only conducting rehabilitation works.
