The sudden resignation of Kosovo Premier Ramush Haradinaj, following the activation of an indictment against him before a court for crimes committed in Kosovo, has also created a conspicuous change in the hitherto stalemate which the Serbia-Kosovo negotiations have been in for months now. Although the Kosovo premier’s resignation is a direct consequence of the indictment against him before the Hague-based court, both of these events are directly linked to the halted process of normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, given that it is precisely Haradinaj who is at the heart of blocking the process, due to his government’s decision to impose 100-percent import tariffs on Serbian goods.
