U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for managing to stop mass killings between Serbia and Kosovo, the U.S. media reported on Sept. 20.

Next thing, I'm sure, is the Nobel Peace Prize. We're stopping mass killings between Kosovo and Serbia. They have been killing each other for so many years. They're going to stop now. You know, they've been doing it for hundreds of years, though under different names, Trump told an election rally in North Carolina.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Avdullah Hoti pledged at the White House on Sept. 4 to normalize economic ties. Swedish MP Magnus Jacobsson nominated the governments of the U.S., Serbia and Kosovo for the Nobel Peace Prize for their role in reaching the agreement.
