French President Emmanuel Macron said in Paris, on Feb. 1, that talks between Belgrade and Pristina should produce solutions accepted by both sides.

"Solutions that can pave the way to a breakthrough in the matter, which is essential for your state and your people, are those that are accepted by both sides and recognized, allowing us to resolve the important concern at the heart of our Europe," the French president said.

Speaking to reporters in Paris, ahead of a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Macron said that he would engage in the matter more actively, offering support to all the parties interested in seeing the Belgrade-Pristina relationship settled.

The president went on to say that bilateral ties between Serbia and France had been developing continuously. "I wish a stronger French presence and continuous investment in Serbia," Macron said.
