More than 43,000 Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccines Arrive in Bosnia

A batch of 43,290 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines landed on Sarajevo's airport on May 10 as part of the Covax mechanism and the European Union's aid programmes.

The cargo flight brought 32.760 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines from the Covax programme and another 10,530 vaccines made by the same manufacturer as part of the EU4HEALTH programme.

The next contingent from the Covax mechanism is expected to arrive in the next couple of days - 35,100 doses on May 11, and 32,760 on May 12. The two shipments will complete a total Covax delivery of 100,620 doses.

By the end of May 81,600 AstraZeneca vaccines will arrive in Bosnia based on the Covax mechanism. Until now 26,400 doses have reached Bosnia, and another 108,000 will be shipped to Bosnia under the same programme.
