A representative of the Move to Change organization, Savo Manojlovic, said on Nov. 29 that last weekend's were the most dignified and impressive protests Serbia could remember, and that the police authorities were responsible for the incidents reported.

Manojlovic said in a comment for the Nova newspaper that the police had refused the suggestion that they should oversee road closures by the protesters, and that the interior minister, Aleksandar  Vulin, promised to keep the citizens from rebelling at any cost. "No one is stronger that well-organized people with a clear plan," the activist said.

He was unable to specify the number of people arrested during the protests, but he said that the citizens in need of legal aid were advised to address the organization's team, whereas a large group of lawyers had organized themselves separately, offering legal assistance to the apprehended.

Manojlovic said he was prepared to take the consequences, aware that the protests he had initiated hadn't been dully reported to the authorities. He said that the plan for the next weekend was to invite "whole of Serbia" to get into the cars and take to the highways in groups of five to 20 vehicles.
