Unofficial sources say that Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabi, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic and the current Serbian speaker, Vladimir Orlic, are among the candidates for the leading post in the Parliament of Serbia, the Vecernje Novosti newspapers reported on Jan. 17.

The Parliament will be constituted no later than Feb. 11, upon the expiry of a 30-day deadline, running since the Serbian Electoral Commission declared the final election results. The paper recalls that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on a few occasions that Brnabic, who served three terms of office as Serbia’s prime minister, would not be re-elected to the same post.

The daily added in the same article that her name had been mentioned several times in the context of ambassadorial positions, most often in the United States.
