Serbia had lost enthusiasm for the EU integration, which should not come as a surprise as nothing or nothing important had been happening for a long time in Serbia’s EU accession process, Nemanja Todorovic, editor-in-chief of portal European Western Balkans said on Feb. 19.
At round table titled “Serbia’s EU Integration 2016-2020: How much progress have made toward EU membership?,” held in Belgrade, a group of experts has been analyzing the progress achieved in certain negotiations chapters and the fields important in Serbia’s accession process.
Igor Novakovic from the International and Security Affairs Centre (ISAC Fund) said that Serbia lacked political will to carry out the necessary reforms.
The round table, held under the auspices of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and portal European Western Balkans, aims to present to the public Serbia’s achievements made in fulfilling the obligations under the EU accession process since the incumbent cabinet took power in 2016.
