Former senior Democratic Party official Jelena Trivan is one of many of the once powerful party’s members to cross over to the ruling Aleksandar Vucic-led Serbian Progressive Party. As in the case of many former Democrats, Trivan’s switchover did not come cheap given that she now holds three important positions. She is director of the state-run Sluzbeni Glasnik publishing company, president of the Film Center of Serbia’s managing board and GM of Mtel (former Telekom Srpske), the dominant telecommunications company in Republika Srpska which is majority owned by Telekom Srbija.
