Germany's Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser said she expected more intensive police cooperation between Germany and the European Union (EU) on the one hand, and the Western Balkans on the other, in a joint effort to curb illegal migration and organized crime.

At a press conference following the ministerial meeting held on Sept. 17 as part of the Berlin Process, Faeser highlighted the importance of more efficient data exchange between police forces.
