Serbian Speaker Ana Brnabic met in Caracas with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Jan. 10, following his inauguration, the Parliament of Serbia has announced.
The inauguration of Venezuela's leftist President Nicolas Maduro, who began his third six-year term, was held in Caracas on Jan. 10. Brnabic congratulated Maduro, wishing him a successful term and conveyed Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's messages underlining the importance of strengthening political dialogue and deepening cooperation between Serbia and Venezuela, with a mutual interest in further developing friendly relations.
Maduro highlighted the importance of collaboration between the two countries, particularly in tourism. He added that EXPO 2027, which Belgrade will host, presented an excellent opportunity to enhance economic cooperation and confirmed Venezuela's participation in the event.
