The ProGlas initiative has announced the locations across Serbia where the "Stop, Serbia - Stand with Students" action will be organized at 11:52 a.m. on Jan. 17 and has called on all citizens and employees of all trades to stand with students, noting that their safety is jeopardized at faculties, too.

The initiative said that since the very beginning of the protests, organized after the tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station, when an outdoor concrete canopy collapse killed 15 people and seriously injured two on Nov. 1, "the regime has been trying to discredit students with lies, spinning, intimidation, and physical assault."

During the Jan. 16 protest in Belgrade, a female student was injured when she was hit by a car. The driver was soon arrested and is being charged with attempted first degree murder.

Students will hold a protest in front of the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation building in Belgrade at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 17, because they are unhappy with how the public media service has been reporting on the protests, but also on other important events in Serbia.
