Belgrade students, who spent the night between Jan. 30 and 31 sleeping at the football stadium in Indjija, resumed their march to Novi Sad on Jan. 31, to show solidarity with the fellow students injured in an attack by ruling Serbian Progressive Party activists.
The students spent the night in tents, while the townspeople provided them with the necessities to ensure their problem-free stay in the town.
The column of students headed from Belgrade on Jan. 30 and walked 40 kilometers to Indjija during the day.
On Jan. 31 they will take on the second part of the road to Novi Sad, also 40 kilometers long, a portion of which goes over Mt. Fruska Gora.
When they arrive, they will stop outside the Novi Sad railway station to pay a 15-minute silent tribute to the 15 people killed in the Nov. 1 collapse of the station's outdoor concrete overhang, while on Feb. 1 they will take part in the blockade of all of the city's bridges on the Danube.
