It is better for Serbia to form a new Cabinet from its parliamentary majority than to hold snap elections, but both options are “on the table” and talks with coalition partners are in progress, outgoing prime minister and leader of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party Milos Vucevic said on Feb. 3.

In a guest appearance on Pink TV, Vucevic said he is “leaning slightly” toward the idea of forming a new Cabinet, adding that both options entail pros and cons.

Commenting on the ongoing university student blockades, Vucevic claimed that Serbia is experiencing an attempt at a color revolution and that it will soon become apparent that the protestors’ demands are “purely political.”
