Serbian President congratulated Minister of Defense Bratislav Gasic, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Milan Mojsilovic and all members of the Serbian Army on April 23 Serbian Army Day.

"The Serbian Army today represents a strong and reliable pillar of our country's security and peace, a symbol of the strength of the state and something that all citizens can rely on," Vucic said in a statement. He stressed that the level of preparation, professionalism and readiness to efficiently answer all modern security challenges was confirmed every day by members of the army both in performing tasks in the country as well as in international missions and joint exercises.

"The Republic of Serbia remains committed to the further development and strengthening of the army, aware of its key importance to security, stability and the country's progress," Vucic said, adding that the state's continuous investment in equipping the army, its infrastructure and training and improving the material status of army members, showed "a lasting commitment toward a stronger and more efficient defense system as well as creating better conditions for life and professional development."
