The Government of Serbia has prepared another election-linked budget for the year 2024, adopted on Oct. 26 by a parliamentary majority consisting of the ruling coalition’s MPs. The government’s populist move ahead of the early polls in December includes increased payments to the citizens, instead of using the money to reduce the budget deficit.
