Pandemic Severely Hits Serbian Tourism: Travel Agencies Facing Shutdown

The business of travel agencies and travel guides has been severely affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and their losses so far are estimated at 100 million euros. That part of the economy has received minimal assistance from the government, and so those employed in the sector are anxiously waiting for a new government to be formed. They have been promised that the new cabinet will decide on additional support to the sector, so that several thousand people are not left jobless. Without that aid, the citizens who had paid for a summer vacation and were unable to travel to their planned destination because of the pandemic might lose their money.
