A Diplomatic Success, or a Shot in Serbia’s Own Leg?

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has managed to attain the objective of a several weeks-long diplomatic offensive: the number of states that supported the resolution on Srebrenica at the U.N. General Assembly was lower than the number of states that voted against it or abstained. With the help of the media that he controls, Vucic has presented this as his own huge diplomatic success, while a (small) portion of the public contests the initiative, because of which countries took Serbia’s side, and which were on the opposite side.
