The Ukrainian embassy in Serbia issued a press release on March 23 stating that the country had prohibited the criminal prosecution of citizens of Serbia and other countries and stateless individuals who could not leave Ukraine before quarantine was imposed.

The statement notes that the Ukrainian parliament had passed a law amending certain acts in order to prevent the outbreak and spread of Covid-19, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

The legislation states that foreigners and stateless persons who were unable to leave Ukraine or submit for an extended stay permit are exempt from administrative liability in light of the introduction of quarantine measures.
