Checking the Public’s Pulse

Serbian Minister of the Economy Rade Basta has stirred up numerous reactions after saying that Serbia should introduce sanctions against Russia and his request that the Cabinet assume a stance on this. Basta, a representative of the Socialist Party of Serbia and United Serbia coalition, evidently was persuaded into doing this by President Aleksandar Vucic, for the purpose of checking the pulse of the public on the issue.
