Milos Jovanovic (BETAPHOTO/MILAN OBRADOVIC)
New Democratic Party of Serbia president Milos Jovanovic said on Oct. 1 that the leaders of opposition parties that are in the parliament not having access to media outlets with national coverage for years "is not a normal situation."
"I don't trouble myself over when [Serbian President Aleksandar] Vucic will call an election. I'm sure it'll happen when he judges that it will be best for him," Jovanovic told Blic TV, according to a press release issued by the New Democratic Party of Serbia on Oct. 1.
Jovanovic said the government was always responsible for the prevalent atmosphere in society and that the sitting president "manufactures violence on a daily basis." "Hooligans loyal to the regime visited violence upon citizens chanting derogatory slogans against Vucic during a match between the national teams of Serbia and England, and the men of former Serb List vice president Milan Radoicic were dispatched to Kosjeric for a rally of the Serbian Progressive Party," Jovanovic said.
