Serbia’s ruling bloc is investing a tremendous amount of energy in a campaign to lull people into believing that Serbia is doing absolutely everything to curb the spread of Covid-19, and very successfully so. Government representatives, President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic included, keep insisting that Serbia fares better than the rest of Europe in terms of coronavirus statistics, boasting of fewer infections and a fairly stable healthcare system. The ruling bloc’s officials never fail to recall that things are going so well thanks to the government efforts and, more notably so, Aleksandar Vucic’s.
