The latest indices that measure the level of corruption and media freedom in countries around the world have confirmed that Serbia has been regressing each year in these areas. Serbia ranks 101st out of 180 countries according to the global corruption perception index for 2022. Its position on the list is the worst in the last 11 years. According to the new index of media freedom, which was published for the first time by the British Index on Censorship organization, Serbia is at the bottom in the Western Balkan region.
