“Perhaps as a head of government I’m not supposed to say this, but as a person I have to tell you the coronavirus has been invented to stop economic growth, particularly that of certain countries that at this moment are standing where some others believe they should not be,” Republika Srpska Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic said on March 4. A day later, the first case of Covid-19 infection was confirmed in Banjaluka, while by March 20 the number of those affected by the disease reached 1,300 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 50 have died.
