Serbian Attorney General Zagorka Dolovac said in a press release on Dec. 30 that the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office of Novi Sad had begun the process of releasing through its official public servers the entire evidential documentation and knowledge available to that office related to a deadly overhang collapse at the city's main railway station in early November.

The press release reads that, "due to the exceptionally great volume, the release is phased to avoid overload and ensure normal operation of the network environment."

"All persons reported for any protest-related crime whose victim is a student or teacher at any university school in Serbia are being criminally prosecuted by public prosecutor's offices, those proceedings are ongoing and the public will be informed about them regularly," the statement added.

The press release also noted that, "at this time all previously arrested students have been released," that the cases against students who participated in protests and were being prosecuted by public prosecutor's offices were being analyzed in detail, and that "any that are lacking crucial evidence of criminal and legal accountability will be dropped."

Dolovac also stated that this meant that the public prosecutor's offices had met the demands the students delivered to the Attorney General's Office on Dec. 25 and again invited student representatives to meet with her. At the Dec. 25 demonstration in front of the Attorney General's Office, students demanded the documentation surrounding the reconstruction of the Novi Sad railway station be made public, that all attackers on students during earlier protests be prosecuted and that all criminal and misdemeanor reports against students for participating in the protests be dropped.
