The second phase of an inter-party dialogue mediated by the European Parliament has ended in a fiasco, after the country’s leading opposition parties rejected the proposed solutions for improving election conditions calling them “cosmetic.” The failure of the dialogue, however, does not mean that the opposition parties that boycotted last year’s election will do so again, despite this question being the focus of the negotiations.
