Political Scene to Be Recomposed

The departure of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Democratic Party of Kosovo leader Kadri Veseli and Self-Determination whip Rexhep Selimi for The Hague, where they are to be tried for war crimes, did not cause riots or deep quakes within Kosovo’s society. All three were commanders of the former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), which organized an armed rebellion against the Serbian authorities in the late 1990s.
